Salesperson Registration Course
All prospective salespeople must successfully complete the online Salesperson Registration Course in order to qualify for salesperson registration.
How to access the course:
1. Complete your salesperson registration application through AMVIC Online.
2. Once you have completed and paid for your application you may then register and pay for the course through the AMVIC online portal. To access the portal, click on “LOGIN” at the top right corner of this page or click on the “Login or register for course” button below. Then click on the “Course Registration Portal” button and enter the same login information from your salesperson account to access the course registration.
3. Once payment is confirmed you will be given access to the course through a confirmation email. Follow the instructions in the email to access the online course.
Google Chrome, Microsoft Edge, Safari or Firefox are recommended browsers. Do not use Internet Explorer. Do not use a mobile phone to access the course.
Note: You have 30 days from the date you submit your salesperson application and pay the $100 fee to complete your application in full. You must complete the Salesperson Registration Course within the 30 days of submitting your application. After 30 days, your application will be refused and you will be required to reapply.
4. You should receive an email confirmation and course completion certificate within three business days after completing the final exam. If you do not receive a course completion email please contact AMVIC education. Remember, the course completion certificate is not your registration certificate. Your actual registration still must be processed by a licensing advisor. Successfully completing the course does not guarantee you will be issued a registration, as it is only one of several requirements.
Your registration application will begin processing only once the course is complete and all required documents are submitted and fees are paid. The requirements for applying for a new salesperson registration are available at amvic.org.
NOTE: Automotive salespeople are responsible for renewing their AMVIC salesperson registration annually.
Any salesperson who ceases to be registered for a period of more than three years must retake the Salesperson Registration Course prior to being issued a new registration. The course fee remains the same: $160.
How do I access AMVIC Online?
You must set-up your automotive business and/or salesperson account by clicking “LOGIN” found at the top right of amvic.org. In order to do so, you need the user name and password that was emailed to you when you started your salesperson registration application.
What if I haven’t applied for my salesperson registration yet?
The online Salesperson Registration Course is open to anyone who is interested in taking it. If you already completed the course, but have not started your application, you can apply to be a salesperson at any time through AMVIC Online. Click on LOGIN at the top right corner and then click on the “Salesperson Application Portal” button. You can use the same account you used to register for the online course. Remember that you must have employment with a licensed automotive business in order to apply for a salesperson registration.

What if I don’t want to apply for registration now or ever or I’m not currently employed with an automotive business?
If you are unsure about becoming a salesperson or you have no intention of becoming a salesperson but want to take the course for informational purposes, you can still register for the course online. Create an AMVIC Online account by clicking on LOGIN at the top right corner. Then create a new account through the “Course Registration Portal” button. You can apply to be a salesperson at any time using the same account login information through the “Salesperson Application Portal” button.
Cancellation policy for training course
No refunds will be issued for online courses. Course registration is non-transferable.
Online course rewrite
If you have failed the Salesperson Registration Course exam and wish to rewrite you may do so after being graded. You can register for the $40 rewrite through the online portal.
Note to employers
Registration is the sole responsibility of the salesperson and all confirmations, documents and refunds are sent to the salesperson’s email.
