Have your say: incorporating fast emerging technologies into training

DATE: | Industry bulletins

AMVIC is helping the Automotive Service Technician (AST) Provincial Apprenticeship Committee (PAC) spread the word about important changes coming to the AST provincial apprenticeship curriculum in Alberta.

PAC is currently looking for feedback as they undertake a review and rewrite of the AST provincial apprenticeship curriculum in Alberta. Through this process, PAC is working diligently to incorporate fast emerging technologies to ensure areas such as advancements in computer technology and the growing popularity of diesel and electric motors are sufficiently covered.

The Alberta apprenticeship and industry training system is developed with industry, for industry, and each organization’s feedback is important prior to making changes. If you are interested in providing feedback to PAC, you can email for more information. Due to a limited timeframe and extensive process involved in making such changes, responses are greatly appreciated by September 30, 2017. Please see the full letter below.
