Before you publish ads this holiday season, make sure you check this list to ensure your ads comply with Alberta’s advertising laws.

Does AMVIC have more advertising resources available?

Do all automotive businesses follow the same regulations?
Yes—all AMVIC-licensed businesses must comply with Alberta consumer protection legislation, including advertising regulations.

What’s considered an ad? 
An ad could be any AMVIC-licensed businesses’:

  • website or other online ad
  • print ad
  • social media post
  • billboard
  • radio and TV

Please note AMVIC will be closed Boxing Day on Monday, Dec. 26, 2016. AMVIC will also be observing Christmas Day on Tuesday, Dec. 27, 2016 and New Year’s Day on Friday, Dec. 30, 2016.
