Businesses ordered to shut down, pending AMVIC investigation

Edmonton— The Alberta Motor Vehicle Industry Council has issued five Director’s Orders against two Edmonton area automotive businesses and three individuals.

The orders dated Nov. 9, 2016 direct Autobahn Automotive Solutions Ltd., Autobahn Outlet Ltd. and representatives of the businesses to immediately cease conducting any business or activities in Alberta’s automotive industry until AMVIC has concluded its investigation.

It is alleged that the businesses may have sold vehicles with unpaid liens, contrary to Alberta’s automotive consumer protection laws.

Anyone who has concerns over dealings with Autobahn Automotive Solutions Ltd., Autobahn Outlet Ltd. or a representative of the businesses should contact AMVIC’s consumer services team online or by phone:
